David Yaden

David Bryce Yaden is a Research Scientist and Doctoral Candidate in the Department of Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania. His research focuses on the psychology and neuroscience of mental states such as awe, self-transcendece, and other potentially transformative experiences. Specifically, he is interested in understanding how these experiences can result in long-term changes to well-being, beliefs, values, and moral motivation. He has published over thirty scholarly articles and books on these topics. His work has been covered by The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, New York Magazine, Fox, CNN, and NPR
