At Space for Humanity, we are celebrating the summer with exciting news: an expansion of the team.
In the past two months, our global volunteer base has doubled, and we now have regional coordinators in Europe and Latin America. We are also welcoming on a new team member: Austin Grisham is joining as the Director of Development & Impact Programs.
Austin has a background in international development, media and finance. Over the past 12 years, he has worked on impact investing in agribusiness and social entrepreneurship projects across the world, including East Africa, Central America, and the United States.
"I am overjoyed to join the Space for Humanity team,” notes Austin. “I've had the honor of working in many industries and geographic locations over the past decade. I could not be more excited to help empower folks around the world in both accessing space and catalyzing ideas to improve the world around us."
“Austin’s humanitarian background brings an important perspective to the conversation, and I’m excited to work alongside him in developing Space for Humanity’s program,” notes Rachel Lyons, Executive Director of Space for Humanity. “Together, I am confident we will make contributing to our world a part of the culture of space.”
This expansion highlights an important time in Space for Humanity’s growth and development, and space as a whole -- a movement towards a more inclusive and interdisciplinary sector.
